“I had the honor of getting to know the one and only Rohan Enamandra. He is an amazing and talented individual who has a burning passion like I’ve never seen before and a determination that will put all others to rest… I had the chance to talk to him about his past, what drives him, his influences, and so much more.
Every musician’s story of how they came to fall for music is unique and a big part of their career. As with a lot of musicians, Rohan’s love affair with music started at a very young age. After showing interest in the piano, he studied under the same instructor for twelve years! “This teacher taught me music theory very early on, and always encouraged me to explore my creativity and push the limits,” says Rohan when asked about this experience.
When you are first learning something, especially a skill like music, you have to start by analyzing what others before you have done and using that as a starting point for your journey. These become your influences and are a crucial part of their story. Rohan’s contemporary Indian music influence is a big part of his. “I took Indian classical vocal lessons as a child for 
several years, which is fundamental in my understanding of rhythm and melody,” says Rohan. “Many of the scales and time signatures that I utilize in my music are influenced by Indian classical and contemporary music.”…Using these influences, Rohan has been able to do so much and has made tremendous strides in the industry. He is in two bands, a pop-punk band called Watersdeep, and an ambient rock band called Eutierria, as well as helping local bands book shows… He has gained a lot of motivation and inspiration to keep powering on from one of his biggest influences, AR Rahman. “His music is some of the richest, most complex, innovative music that I have ever heard, and it is obvious that he pushes himself musically with every song. My biggest goal in life is to push myself as much as I can musically and use the craft to help as many people as I can, and that is exactly what AR Rahman has done and continues to do” says Rohan when asked about his inspirations.
Keeping all this motivation in mind, so many new things are in the works, and you are going to be seeing a lot of amazing things from Rohan in the near future. Be prepared to be amazed.”
